PE and Primary Sports Grant

The Vale School receives £20,500 for Primary PE Sports Grant. 

The premium must be used to fund additional and sustainable improvements tot he provision of PE and sport, for the benefit of primary-aged pupils in the 2024-2025 academic year, to encourage the development of healthy active lifestyles and to support the physical development of our pupils. 

Tailored sports sessions are delivered at the secondary site by coaches from Tottenham Foundation building confidence in teaching and support staff and enjoyment in students. 

This year we intend to spend: 

£2500 - Dance lesson (Flamingo Chicks - external provider)

£4000 - Circus Skills (Dan Rose - external provider)

£1500 - Radiate Dance sessions (RAD - external provider)

£12500 - Scale Six SNA post to run hydrotherapy

Objectives

• Increasing all staff's confidence, knowledge and skills in teaching PE and sport. 
• Increasing engagement  and enjoyment of all pupils in regular physical activity and sport, appropriate to their individual physical needs. 
• Offering specific activities that are engaging and motivating for children with specific physical needs. 
• Supporting physiotherapy and occupational health programmes throughout the entire week.

Swimming Information

0% can swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 meters. 0% can use a range of strokes effectively. 0% can perform a safe self-resuce in different water-based situations.
